Intermediate Hand Building

Intermediate Hand Building with Carly Gibran Do you LOVE hand building? This class is for anyone who has taken Beginning Hand Building and wants to explore complex projects and techniques. If you have ambitious ideas or are stumped trying to figure out a technique, we will work together to solve your creative problems (and possibly a few new ones we find along the way)! We will meet for 3 hours on Mondays from 5:30 to 8:30pm for 6 weeks. Each week, Carly sends out an email with the following week’s agenda. The class includes 25 pounds of clay, materials, firings and access to open studio hours. It’s okay if you need to arrive late or leave early, it is a relaxed and friendly setting. Feel free to bring a snack or drink if you desire. Dress comfortably in clothes that can get clay or glaze on them. When you sign up for a class at Jane's, you also have access to work in the studio during Open Studio Hours! Just keep in mind that the schedule may change as classes begin and end so it's worth double checking before you head to the studio. You might want to wear an oversized shirt or bring an apron if you have one. Clay washes out, but it can get on your clothes. (( Is the class you wanted full? Don’t you worry, we are always adding classes. Please allow 2-4 weeks for work to get fired, kiln space and class schedule varies. Work that is not picked up 6 weeks after the class will be discarded.)) Cancellation Policy: There are no exceptions to this policy. If you have to cancel your class, our policy is as follows: 1.) Due to limited seating, all cancellations and rescheduling on your part must be made at least 7 days before your class begins for a full refund minus a $25 booking fee, this gives us the opportunity to fill the class. If you cancel within 7 days you will be refunded 50% of the class cost or a 50% credit toward another class. If you cancel within 24 hours of your class, you will be charged 100% of class cost. 2.) Participants that do not show up to their class without calling to cancel, will be charged in full for the class. 3.) All Cancellations must be confirmed with a Jane’s Art Center staff member. Cancellation of a class due to insufficient enrollment is made a minimum of 24 hours prior to the first meeting, and all students are notified. If a class is canceled, a full refund of the canceled class is issued.
